Home from Home atmosphere 

Forget me not is more like a large family than a "home", as both the residents and the staff give a unique "family" atmosphere.   Everyone takes great pride in providing an efficient and personal service not only to those that stay at Forget me not, but to those that visit too.  Visiting the home is a must so that you too can witness the "home from home" atmosphere.

Rooms

All 16 rooms are for single occupancy with 6 having ensuite facilities, although all toilets are close by. The rooms are of varying sizes which are decorated to cater for individual tastes.   There are 10 rooms on the ground floor and a passenger lift gives access to the 6 rooms on the first floor.

Meals & Activities

Forget me not employs a conscientious cook, who takes great pride in providing good quality wholesome food, she also regularly bakes homemade cakes, pies, puddings and scones, which the residents and staff love!

The home provides weekly themed activities and has popular events such as Garden Parties, Fireworks display...  Beautifully maintained gardens surround the home, where residents often love to sit, chat and relax.

Monthly Newsletters are displayed in large format advising everyone what events took place and future events.  If you would like to see a copy, click on the Newsletter tab for the recent newsletter.

Involvement with the community

Examples of involvement with the community are Brownies visiting and entertaining; helping students from Altwood School with Health & Social Care project work; children from Priory Combined School singing; Enjoying events with members from Monday Club.  Residents also have the opportunity to attend the weekly MONDAY CLUB, where they enjoy chatting and playing bingo.
